Supporting study choice

Studiekeuze123 was founded by the Dutch Ministry of Education to help prospective students, parents and education professionals by providing comparable information about study programmes. Every year, about a third of first-year students drop out — and good information about a programme can prevent that.

I wrote the strategic communications plan, developed a new visual identity and communications materials, and led the project management of the website redesign. The focus was on making study choice content increasingly personal and relatable.

Communication about impact and local economy

For the Dinamo Fonds, I handled the website design and created content and newsletters.

A personal highlight was the Red de Heide (Save the Heath) campaign — drawing attention to the disappearance of heath sheep flocks and the unique landscape they maintain. We also highlighted the revaluation of Dutch wool: once part of a local circular economy, now often treated as waste.t.

MSC…..to book a cruise?

MSC — or the Marine Stewardship Council — is the international certification for sustainable seafood, on a mission to stop overfishing and protect the world's oceans. As a communications professional, my assignment was to inform and engage both the network and consumers across the Benelux.

How do you turn data into a story?

The majority of Dutch fisheries are MSC-certified. The State of the Water report shows how well the Dutch fishing industry performs on sustainability — and what the MSC certification actually means. My job: turn that report into compelling communication that reaches every audience in exactly the right way.

I split the report into multiple communication lines: researchers received the full report with scientific background, consumers a video and social media campaign. Everyone got the information that suited them — from fish
