Glastonbury has the Tor. Lourdes has its spring. And Amsterdam? Amsterdam has the Dam. Few people still know it, but the city was once one of the great pilgrimage sites of Europe — a Glastonbury on the IJ. In 1345, the Miracle of Amsterdam drew believers from across the continent to the Dam. That spiritual layer is still there. The Amsterdam Spiritual Compass, a new oracle card deck from Amsterdam soil, brings it back.

Why crowdfunding?

•         Produce a larger print run — making the deck available to more people, and the price per set more accessible.

•         Publish a Dutch-language edition — for those who want to experience the depth of the texts in the language of the city itself.

•         And — if we get there — an edition in Amsterdams, the real Bargoens — for those who know that the city’s street language carries its own kind of wisdom. (Yes, we’re going to try.)
